Castles and forts

Of course the fanatastic Caernarfon Castle is only a few miles up the road, but did you know the Llyn Peninsula has some of the most amazing Iron Age hillforts and ancient settlements in the country?

One of the most amazing Tre'r Ceiri  is only 2.5 miles from our Trefor holiday cottage. For anyone who wants a lovely walk, or who is interested in history it is a fabulous visit and one of our favourite spots on the Llyn Peninsula. From the top you can see the sea on both sides of the Peninsula and wander at your leisure around the fabulous undisturbed remains of this historically important iron age fort and village.
