The Trefor pub

Tafarn Y Twr - Nearest pub in the village

There's a local pub tucked away at the bottom of the village near the National Trust land going to the cliffs in Trefor.

They have a regular session from a local Folk and Acoustic band the Pen Llŷn Sessions that visits every 3-4 weeks so check their Facebook page out for where they are playing in the area.

Tafarn Y Fic

A lovely local 3 miles away by car or 2. miles brisk walk over the Rivals (the 3 hills bordering Trefor) and apparently the first community-owned pub in the country. They usually have at least one local ale on tap and others in bottle. It's a great starting place for the walk to the iron age hill fort at tre'r ceiri and on a dry day a fabulous view across to Cardigan Bay.

It's well worth a visit in any weather but it's an especially useful visit on a wet day.  The cafe is very good and overlooks the sea and surrounding hills going into the sea. The free museum of the local village and quarrying whilst small, is of particular interest and shares the hardships this isolated community faced.
