Not a flat walk, the clue&#8217;s in the name.. We&#8217;ve shown a walk of 5.5 miles taking in two of the amazing hills local to Trefor. A fabulous representation of power when built by King Edward 1 in 1282.<\/p>\n<p>About a 20 minute drive away and has everything you need as well as a wealth of attractions. Also a great stopping off point on the way to Anglesey.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/treforbay.co.uk\/de\/caernarfon-visitor-attractions\/\">\n\t\t\tCaernarfon castle and town\t\t<\/a>\n\t<h2>The eerie Trefor Quarry<\/h2>\n<p>Whilst not a castle, the Trefor quarry could be mistaken for a mythical or fantasy remains of a castle. Believe it or not, right on our doorstep was at one time the largest granite quarry in the world. It looks like it could have been a mountain hideaway in Lord of the rings&#8230; This is where the granite curling stones beloved of the successful Scottish curling teams comes from.<\/p>\n<p>It also defines the beach around the base of the hill Yr Eifl that is sites on.
